No matter what it's telling you, trust it. Your head will confuse you and your heart will deceive you, but your gut is always true. If it's telling you something is good for you, run toward that thing as fast as you can. If it's telling you to go the other way, be firm in your steps.
Listen to it. Period. ~until next time

Hey there, Loves.
Just a quick thought. No matter who you're around... no matter where you are... JUST BE YOU. Always be true to yourself and your light will shine through. Those who are meant for you will love you for who and what you are. I met some new people recently and went out with them tonight. I had no one there that i knew for more than a week, but i was true to me, and we all had a great time. i'm silly. I'm corny. I'm honest. I'm loving. I'm me. i didn't start this blog to just talk. I started it becaise i truly wanr to spread confidence in Just Being You. Always remember - at the end of the day, YOU are the only you there is. ~until next time Wake up. Drink coffee. Eat. Work. Eat more. Work more. Eat more again. Shower. Sleep. Repeat.
Everyone has a routine, whatever that may be. We wake up each day and do what we have to, and if we're lucky, we get to mix that with some of what we want to do. I've been blessed recently to get involved with some incredible people doing some truly amazing things. I have the opportunity to be a part of something exponentially bigger than myself. I'm getting involved with a non-profit called Global Connections Kenya Link. Their mission is to connect communities here in the states to communities in Kenya, Africa. They take high school students to Kenya to introduce them to children their own age. These students do service projects in Kenya to improve life in some way for the villages they visit. They are transformed by the experience and come back to their home community to share what they've learned. I had no idea I would be so interested in facilitating the connection between two different groups of people from two very different places, but it's sparked something in me. And guess what!! I'm going to Kenya with them next year!! More information about the trip can be received by signing up at https://www.gcklink.org/kenya-2020.html I've found it, Loves. Something bigger than me. Something I never imagined myself doing. Something with purpose and value I can join in. I'll share more information as it comes, but please reach out if you have any questions. FYI - there is a fundraising option to make the trip completely free if you're interested in going. ~until next time It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, isn't it?
I'm doing well… continuing my story every day and continuously practicing self love. I am doing it. I will learn something new today. I am truly enjoying this journey. I love myself. I deserve the things that make me happy. I will take time to do one thing for myself this week. You should try making statements of your own for yourself. The positivity these thoughts bring me every day really do help me keep great energy even when the energy around me is not the best. I've been able to keep a cool head and think through difficult situations at work and in my personal life. At the end of the day, everything doesn't require a reaction. Everything doesn't have to be met with anger or hurt. You are allowed to feel, but what are you allowing yourself to feel? If you sit in anger, hurt, or selfishness for too long that's what you will bring to your life. Choose differently - one choice at a time. I believe in you. Believe in yourself. ~until next time Dreams can't dream themselves, but reality won't wait for you to wake up.
Remember that. ~until next time Hey Loves,
I've been doing a lot lately and have been neglecting you - I apologize. I'm working on finding what I'm truly interested in and finding ways to get involved with those things. I must say, I'm doing a pretty damn good job so far. I'm getting involved with more volunteer work outside of work, and was recently given the opportunity to work with an amazing company that focuses on getting students involved in community service projects in their own communities and globally. They take a huge group of high school students to Kenya and do service projects, and guess what! I signed up to be on their communications team for the trip! I'm getting involved with communications for other events they are hosting, and building a communications strategy for before and during not only the Kenya trip, but every event before that! Figuring this whole project management thing out hasn't been the easiest, but I've had my Mommy to help me along the way. She's guiding me to think about things from a much bigger picture while still keeping the details just under the surface. Needless to say there are at least a billion moving pieces at any given moment, but I'm loving every step! I'm learning so much and figuring out what works for me. I'll be posting about the upcoming events once the communications are finalized - I hope someone can benefit from getting involved! (side note: Starbucks really is a great place to go and get stuff done) I've got to go for now. I still have some things to wrap up that need to be delivered tomorrow (having a plan and a timeline are crucial to any success with project management and launching communications for any event). Stay true to yourselves out there. You're the only you there will ever be. You're the only one who can live your story. You're the only one who can be you. Just be you. Never forget that. ~until next time Being comfortable in your own skin is such a joy. You can be silly or serious; focused or distracted. It's all your choice. Today, I choose to be grateful and happy. I choose to laugh. I choose to post a picture of me at my most ridiculous-looking moment just to show those who don't feel comfortable that we're all human. We all shower. We all wash our faces. We all look crazy when we wake up, and we all have funky breath sometimes. What are you going to do to own that is the question.
I love me. Do you love you? ~until next time It's ok to not be ok. It's ok to feel overwhelmed. It's ok to need time to sort through your feelings. In those times, though, don't be too hard on yourself. No one has it all together all of the time, and feeling like you have a million thoughts going through your head doesn't mean you're lost.
You may feel overwhelmed at times, but you're human. You are not only allowed, but obligated to feel. It's the nature of humanity. If, by chance, though, you are feeling lost - just be sure to find yourself before you try finding someone or something else. You are doing yourself a great disservice if you don't take the time to get to know and love YOU before all others. You are strong. You are important. Your feelings matter. ~until next time Hello, Loves. I'm sitting on my mother's couch, sleepy, in my pajamas with my daughters next to me, and I can't help thinking how grateful I am for my mommy being my mommy. Throughout my life, she has taught me the importance of working for what I want in my life, and putting good energy into the world. I have manifested some really great things, and I have a plan to manifest my wildest dreams.
You can do it, too. Be positive. Speak your truth. Be open to new possibilities. Make a plan, and try your best at every turn to execute that plan. I must sleep, now, but I had to tell you that. I know my last post didn't bring about the most wonderfully fuzzy feelings. I believe in you. I believe in me. ~until next time Thank you for your encouragement and how willingly you expressed how my writing was relevant to your life. I look forward to keeping in touch with you and hope you will continue to find confirmation in my words. I was going to title this post your name, but didn't know if you would be ok with that so I went with something I knew you would recognize. I hope you enjoy the oil and you continue to check in here for more "every-day real". Feel free to email me any time for anything at all.
You see, My Loves, everything happens not only for a reason, but for a good reason. I met a woman today who told me to my face how my words touched her. And although I receive your emails, hearing the words in person is a completely different ballpark. I can't express enough how much gratitude I have for you all traveling on this journey with me. I have had my highs and my lows, but you have all been a constant reminder that tomorrow is a new day and everything is connected. I will continue to move forward in the hopes that my words will touch someone out there and help them through whatever they're dealing with. Please continue sending your emails (don't forget to tell me if you want me to answer publicly or privately), and don't be shy if you want to leave a comment on a specific post. I love and appreciate you all. ~until next time |
